When high-performance personal audio crosses paths with one of the most beloved pop-culture franchises in history, collectors and music lovers take notice. Apple-owned audio brand Beats by Dre has officially teamed up with The Pokémon Company to release the special-edition Pokémon Beats Pill.
Featuring iconic pocket monsters Pikachu and Mimikyu, custom franchise-themed charms, and the modern acoustic engineering of Beats’ refreshed Pill platform, this limited release delivers a punchy blend of nostalgia and contemporary sound.
Here is everything you need to know about the Pokémon Beats Pill, including its official launch schedule, retail pricing, technical capabilities, and how it compares to the baseline speaker.
What Is the Pokémon Beats Pill?
The Pokémon Beats Pill is a collaborative, limited-run wireless Bluetooth speaker built on the updated Beats Pill hardware introduced earlier by Beats. Rather than merely slapping a sticker on an existing chassis, Beats designed a dedicated colorway complemented by signature Pokémon iconography.
The speaker sports a sleek matte gray casing decorated with illustrations of Electric-type mascot Pikachu and Ghost/Fairy-type fan favorite Mimikyu. Adding an extra layer of personalization, the package includes collectible charms—such as a miniature Poké Ball, lightning bolt emblems, and stylized Beats logos—that attach directly to the speaker’s carry strap.
Key Design Highlights:
- Character Artwork: Custom line art depicting Pikachu and Mimikyu on the front speaker housing.
- Collectible Accent Charms: Custom silicone charms, including a Poké Ball and electric bolt, designed to hook onto the removable lanyard.
- Signature Color Palette: A subtle gray body with yellow and thematic color touches that highlight Pikachu’s electric motif.
- Matte & Silicone Finish: Built with a durable silicone back for slip resistance and an angled acoustic grille for optimized sound projection.
Pokémon Beats Pill: Price and Availability
One of the standout aspects of this collaboration is its consumer-friendly pricing. Often, limited-edition electronics demand a heavy markup; however, Beats and Apple maintained parity with their base catalog.
- Official Price: $149.99 USD / £149.99 GBP
- Official Release Date: Launches Thursday, October 15, 2026
Where Can You Buy It?
Because this is an exclusive release, availability is limited to select official channels and retail partners:
- United States: Apple.com, official Apple Store locations, and Target (online and select brick-and-mortar stores).
- United Kingdom: Apple.com and Argos.
- China: Apple.com and official retail storefronts via Douyin.
Because limited-edition Beats collaborations historically sell out quickly, prospective buyers should act early once listings open at authorized storefronts.
Technical Specifications and Performance
Underneath the Pokémon artwork, the unit shares identical technical specifications with the standard generation Beats Pill, ensuring buyers receive uncompromised audio fidelity.
Re-Engineered Acoustics and Lossless Audio
The speaker utilizes a bespoke racetrack woofer featuring neodymium magnets and stronger motor force, paired with an isolated tweeter housed in its own acoustic chamber. This layout delivers rich low-end punch while preserving vocal clarity and crisp treble response.
For audiophiles, the Pokémon Beats Pill supports USB-C Lossless Audio, letting you plug directly into a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to stream uncompressed high-resolution music.
All-Day Battery Life and Power Bank Utility
- 24-Hour Playtime: Offers up to a full day of continuous playback on a single charge.
- Fast Fuel Charging: A quick 10-minute top-off over USB-C gives up to 2 hours of listening time.
- Reverse Charging: The speaker doubles as an external power bank, letting you charge your smartphone or gaming device directly from the Pill’s internal battery via USB-C.
Outdoor Durability (IP67 Rating)
The Pokémon Beats Pill holds an official IP67 rating, meaning it is fully sealed against dust, sand, and dirt ingress, and can survive accidental water immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Whether poolside, on a trail, or at a Pokémon GO community meetup, the hardware is built to handle everyday environments.
Seamless Ecosystem Connectivity
- Native Apple Integration: Supports One-Touch Pairing, Find My tracking, and Siri voice commands.
- Native Android Integration: Supports Google Fast Pair, Google Find My Device, and full feature controls via the dedicated Beats companion app.
- Stereo & Amplify Modes: Connect two Beats Pill speakers wirelessly to run dual-channel Left/Right stereo audio or double the volume across an entire room.

Is the Pokémon Beats Pill Worth It?
If you are already in the market for a portable speaker around $150, the Pokémon Beats Pill provides exceptional value.
Usually, licensed tech products come with a “character tax”—costing $20 to $50 more than the underlying hardware. Because Apple and Beats kept the MSRP identical to standard models, buyers get collector packaging, exclusive Pikachu and Mimikyu aesthetics, and themed charms without paying an extra cent.
Combined with robust IP67 water resistance, 24-hour battery life, and versatile iOS/Android pairing, it is one of the most functional Pokémon-branded lifestyle accessories produced to date.
